Our Services
Specialized Training
We guide our clients to observe their body structure and movement patterns, which leads them to a unique understanding of the state of their body’s autonomic nervous system. This process allows the client’s nervous system to respond more appropriately to the environment, whether that be in fight-or-flight or a parasympathetic state.
Nervous System Coaches
We sometimes call ourselves nervous system coaches because we empower our clients to use techniques that help them integrate sensorimotor functions to optimize how the brain and body communicate, leading the client to experience enhanced coordination of movement, and psychological function, that results in an overall sense of well-being. This is an excellent modality to help the client develop self-calming skills.
Our services are helpful for those with movement difficulties or discomfort, mental health issues such as anxiety or depression, chronic health diseases, and other physical dysfunctions, which can include a variety of ages and applications in sports and other physical activities.
1 on 1 Personal Sessions
In one-on-one sessions, we guide you to map specific points of your body, while performing simple, repetitive movement. In the context of movement, whether using equipment in the studio or doing activities at home, mapping allows the nervous system to change.
Changing Habits
By combining the two activities, mental and physical, the client’s nervous system is able to change how it responds to the environment. Everything about our functioning – digestion, state of mental health, motor function, and so on, changes, depending on whether we are in a fight-or-flight or a parasympathetic state. If we only map points on our body, without moving, we do not allow our nervous system to change our habitual thought and motor patterns; the habits that caused our movement difficulties and discomfort in the first place.
Sessions are 55-minutes long. We lead you through movement using equipment in our studio. At the end of a session, we will discuss how you can integrate this practice into your daily life so your nervous system can become adaptable in a variety of contexts, environments, interactions with various people, and movement situations.
